Intriguingly, bottled from individual sherry butts, the Edradour 35 yo – Enigma 1 and Enigma 2 demonstrate the extremes of maturation conditions. The traditional, humid dunnage warehouse resulted in less liquid loss but greater alcohol loss during the maturation of Enigma 1. The dry, concrete warehouse caused a much greater liquid loss in Enigma 2, but retained a higher alcohol content.
