Mars Tsunuki - Malt Duo - Tsunuki x Akkeshi

Two distilleries, three cask warehouses, one brand: The Japanese pioneering brand Mars distills a variety of single and blended malts – playing with the influences of three different climatic zones in Japan.

The Mars Tsunuki Distillery in Japan's tropical south and the Akkeshi Distillery in the cold and wet Hokkaido Peninsula both lit their stills for the first time in 2016. In 2018, they swapped raw spirits to age them at their respective locations. The limited-edition blended malt Mars Malt Duo – Tsunuki x Akkeshi is the result of the components stored at the Tsunuki Distillery. Red apple, grilled pineapple, and dried figs are paired with hazelnuts, mint, and nutmeg.
