Description:
Named after Steppenwolf's legendary 1968 hit, Turntable Track 7: Born to be Wild gives voice to the dynamic character of a new generation of distilleries on Scotland's west coast. Make way for a peaty, sherry-forward whisky that's as spirited as its namesake!
Track 7 harmonizes whiskies from the modern distilleries Ardnamurchan, Lochlea, Isle of Raasay, and Nc'nean with a touch of grain whisky from the defunct Port Dundas Distillery. Each contributes its distinctive character to the composition: coastal winds carrying the scent of sea salt, fertile fields where rich organic grain grows, and fermentation times that extend far beyond the norm to reveal hidden flavor nuances.
The result is a blend of enticing coastal aromas and campfire marshmallows with a creamy aftertaste of peach and barley. Like its predecessors, the Limited 2025 Edition, at a powerful 53% ABV, is neither chill-filtered nor colored.
